Echoes From Morocco

This exhibition, Echoes From Morocco, is the result of a trip I took to Morocco last year with a group of artists. We visited Marrakesh, where the engraved wood, stone and plaster in the architecture were awe-inspiring and are reflected in a number of my works. We also travelled in the desert and surrounding villages, and my slideshow gives a glimpse into that world.

I have used a variety of modalities of printmaking. For several works I used a printing press. For others I used a “Hotbox” designed by Paula Roland, allowing me to use the medium of heated pigmented wax to create prints. Others were made using screen printing in combination with another medium.

From the “screens” discovered on my trip, I have developed my own version of screens in some other works.
